MEET
Terry Canning
Terry grew up in Oshawa, attending Conant Public School, Lake Vista Senior Public, and G.L. Roberts High School.
After moving to Toronto, Terry made a name for himself in the car business: starting out in sales, he moved rapidly into management after being drafted by several dealerships, including Herron Chev Olds, Airport Chev Olds, Wilson/Niblett Chev Olds, and finally Terrace Gate Acura.
When the decision was made to move to Durham in 1993, Terry decided it was time for a change, and realized it was great opportunity to work together with Margot as a team.

MEET
Margot Canning
Margot grew up in the area of Toronto now referred to as “The Upper Beaches”. She attended Corpus Christi Separate School, Bowmore Rd. Public School, Fairmount Park Senior Public School, Monarch Park High School, and finally George Brown College - where she obtained her real estate license in 1978.
Margot has worked from Bloor West Village to the Beaches, from Mississauga to Newcastle, and beyond! Splitting her efforts between sales, recruiting, training and management early in her career, she settled into full time sales when she and Terry decided to move to Durham in 1993 following the birth of their daughter Taylor.
MEET
Craig Canning
Craig was born on the east coast but from the age of 3 was raised in the Oshawa/ GTA area. He was involved in music from a very young age, playing in a Christian band with his two older brothers for a number of years. In business, he worked his way up the corporate ladder to become the plant manager of a large uniform company in Oakville but spent the better part of the last three decades in full time ministry.. traveling full time with a drama for six years, and then writing, producing and directing large scale dramas for a 2500 seat auditorium, and overseeing concerts, conferences, outreaches and community events.
My Family
I am father to 2 incredible sons. One is a Pastor in the Oshawa area, and the other is a nurse practitioner in Toronto. I have two beautiful grandchildren- a seven-year-old granddaughter (going on twelve! LOL), and a five-year-old grandson. And yes, it’s true what they say about the joy of a grandparents strategy …”Spoil them and give them
back!”
My Life Experiences
I’ve spent a number of years of my life focusing on music and travelling. I’ve succeeded in the business world, in ministry, and the creative and dramatic arts field. Now, in a brand-new season of my life, I look forward to connecting with new friends, sharing wonderful memories and helping to make their journey to finding their dream home smooth, profitable, and yes, even enjoyable.
My Interests
I love movies! Lots and lots of movies!! I guess that’s what sparks the dramatic fire for writing scripts and directing plays. I play tennis, like to work out and run, and I enjoy golf (no matter what my score card says! Five years ago, I got my motorcycle license, I guess you really are never too old!
But more than that.. I love people.. connecting, sharing and doing life with people!
MEET
Taylor Canning
Raised in Durham region, Taylor attended Coronation Public School and O'Neill C.V.I. before being chosen to represent Canada as an exchange student in the Netherlands, where she attended Etty Hillesum Lyceum.
When she returned to Canada, Taylor studied at the University of Ottawa and York University, earning double majors with honours, before transitioning into sales in the family tradition. She managed record-breaking teams in the retail industry before deciding to move into real estate after the birth of her son in 2024.
THE TEAM
Terry and Margot met in 1983, married in 1988, and dropped their “double income no kids” status in 1990 when they became parents of their only child, daughter Taylor.
They’ve been working as a team in real estate since 1993, consistently among the top Sales Agents in their company, they’re also counted in the top 2% of Sales Agents as reported by the Toronto Real Estate Board! They’ve represented many of the top brokerages in the province including Century 21 – Coldwell Banker – Sutton Group and Re/Max, and with all the changes we’re facing in the industry, and after careful consideration, we’ve decided to join the Number One Brokerage as listed Right At Home Realty Inc in addition they’re counted in the top two percent of Sales Agents as reported by the Toronto Real Estate Board.

We do try to keep one rule though; we try to make the process comfortable and fun; there’s no room for stressing out, while making what is likely one of the biggest financial commitments ever!
